About Yara Hussain

I’m currently studying Human Dimensions of Organizations and Psychology at UT Austin, with a minor in Arabic. I’m passionate about understanding people, how they think, communicate, and work—and applying that knowledge in real-world, human-centered ways.I’m especially interested in careers that combine psychology and business, like industrial-organizational psychology. I care about helping workplaces run better by resolving conflict, improving communication, and supporting employee satisfaction through a more balanced, rights-conscious work culture.My experience includes writing, reporting, and leading human rights fundraisers, as well as managing events and outreach through several campus orgs. I’ve also worked as a medical assistant and front desk receptionist at Austin Neuromuscular Center, where I developed strong interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment.At the core of everything I do is a deep belief in people; how we can work better together, and how organizations can support the people who make them possible.
