I am a Research Intern at the Women\'s Health Institute at RWJ Medical School under the supervision of Dr. Gloria Bachmann and Dr. Juana Hutchinson-Colas. I have written articles for the institute on the topics of health education, health disparities, and interventions to reduce maternal morbidity. I have led research teams on these topics, as well as aided other interns in their scholarly pursuits, via literature searches and editing their articles- Wrote and co-authored research papers for women\'s health journals, on topics including health education, community health programs, culturally competent healthcare, etc- Curated educational videos on women\'s health issues, such as menopause, sexual health, breast cancer, and other preventive care topics- Edited manuscripts for research journals- Recruited new research interns

My name is Yara Assadi, and I am currently a third year medical student at Rowan-Virtua School of Osteopathic Medicine. I am serving on the executive board for our local American Medical Women\'s Association (AMWA) chapter at Rowan, and working as a research assistant at the Women’s Health Institute (WHI) at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. I received my Bachelor’s in Public Health from the Rutgers University Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy with Honors, and with proficiency in French and Arabic. I spent most of my time outside of my coursework doing research for the WHI at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, the Behavioral Medicine Lab at Rutgers, the Rutgers Microbiome project, and working with non-profits, such as GlobeMed at Rutgers. My writing experience is in research, creative writing, and for news sources.
