ABOUT YARA DAGHER
A lifelong learner, I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Biology from the Lebanese American University in 2022, after cultivating months of research experience in Lebanon and in the United States which consolidated my passion for research and lab work. I am currently working on my masters degree in molecular and cellular biology at Sorbonne University in Paris (expected graduation year: 2026). Having successfully completed the first year of my graduate studies as of July 2025, I will be pursuing an M2 in data analysis and AI with a focus on genomics.For the past three years prior to and in parallel with my graduate studies, I acquired professional experience in administrative work, surgical coordination, and patient services within the context of healthcare. During my time at Boston Vision, I helped alleviate the administrative load from the local team so that they can focus on patients\' care and experience. I also took on the transition to various new platforms, including EHR and payment systems, and worked on monthly reporting and data validation.I am looking forward to continue learning and developing my soft skills as well as my technical biological knowledge, specifically in the fields of genetics and genomics, computational biology, and AI. I am actively looking for research internship opportunities in Paris which would further immerse me in the field. I have also always had a fascination with forensic biology, genetics, and anthropology, and would love to explore that area of research further should the opportunity arise. I am fluent in French, English, and Arabic, and have found that my mastery of different languages both written and spoken has equipped me to flourish in dynamic international environments.I am also passionate about helping others in need and supporting my community’s development through civic engagement. Accordingly, I remain open for volunteering opportunities in Paris!
