ABOUT YAPRAK KURTSAL
I am a value-driven social scientist, researcher, and project designer/implementer with experience in both academic and non-academic organizations. My areas of interest include local food systems, and just food communities, circular bioeconomy, indicators and innovative frameworks for sustainable solutions, rural transformation, degrowth, and governance, collaboration and learning mechanisms in the agri-food and bioeconomy sectors. Over the last fifteen years, I took on a variety of tasks as a researcher, research consultant, independent consultant and project coordinator for numerous organizations and companies, including University of Bologna, S360 Sustainable Transformation Services and Advisory, G+ Europe Consulting, UN FAO, UN ILO, WWF and The Economic Policy Research Foundation of Turkey (TEPAV). I am also experienced in impact analysis and project design (and project proposal design) for social change, and designed and implemented numerous projects for a wide variety of stakeholders, including the European Commission, companies, social enterprises and NGOs.I value (and work towards) collaborative approaches, regenerative economies and inclusive and convivial communities.
