About Tatiana Yan Snead
Tatiana \"Yan\" Snead graduated from Kean University with a Bachelors in Marketing, minor in Music. She studied Classical Voice and Piano for two years at the university level before realizing pursuing a career as a full-time musician was no longer her passion and transitioning into music business. In January 2015, Yan was picked up as an on-air personality on Jersey-based podcast titled,\"Podcast About Nothing\" with co-host Jamar Dickson, which explored controversial topics within the Black community, as well as featured guests including independent artists, local entrepreneurs, community leaders and more. Her time spent navigating the podcast space led her to her formal role as Editor-in-Chief of Brooklyn-based production house, Dinner Land Network. Within this role she further established her platform curating Dinner Land\'s Music Monday Show short series and campaign, and acquiring Dash Radio XXL station placements for independent hip-hop artists. Additionally, she conceptualized and rolled out numerous playlist campaigns — highlighting both independent R&B and Hip-Hop acts, and up-and-coming execs within the music industry as co-curators. Playlists include: Audiomack\'s verified \"Hometown Heroes: Jersey\". Yan is well known for her role in developing and branding producer Chase N. Cashe\'s lifestyle and clothing brand, Can\'t Buy Respect, as well as the brand\'s \"Not For Sale\" tagline and signature t-shirt and hoodie — which was featured on Beyonce\'s Black Parade Route in 2020. Within the social justice non-profit sector, Yan is formerly the Head of Communications & Digital at the Katal Center for Equity, Health, and Justice — stepping down in January 2021 to pursue a career within the music industry in Los Angeles. Her most notable campaign within this role was the #LessIsMoreNY campaign — in which she developed the digital strategy, and designed the branding assets, website, and promotional materials. The Less Is More NY legislation was passed and signed into New York law on Friday, September 17th, 2021. Yan currently works alongside Akim Bryant in New York City programming R&B for Pandora Music, and works independently with artists as a vocal and executive producer. She hopes to experience a long career of developing and breaking timeless records, curating innovative activations and music campaigns, and is consistently seeking projects that give her a creative license and place her in proximity to her greatest passion, music.
