ABOUT SELENE YANRONG LI
I am an economics student at National University of Singapore. My career interest, however, is in the fields of strategic consulting and the primary market in finance. A slight modification of environmentalist Mary Heglar’s quote can express my thoughts: instead of being overwhelmed by the complexity of the business problem, I fall in love with the creativity of the solutions.Through assuming various leadership roles within local communities across mainland China, Hong Kong, and Singapore, I have honed the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders from diverse backgrounds. These experiences have also allowed me to examine local, global, and intercultural issues, enabling me to understand and appreciate different perspectives and worldviews. Looking ahead, I am determined to leverage my global competence to contribute and make an impact on the world.Yet, and maybe more importantly, I am also an environmentalist, a minimalist, a mother of two cats, a lover of documentary and am becoming a lifelong learner of philosophy and art.
