ABOUT YANNICK ROY

I\'m currently lost on an island somewhere working on Blockchain AI Agents.#Web3 #Blockchain #Ethereum #Crypto #DataScience #MachineLearning - TL;DR I am obsessed with Neurotechnology, Blockchain, and AI. I think we live in the best in history. What an exciting time to be alive! yroy.me - I\'ve had the chance to launch and spearhead an amazing organization: NeuroTechX. From the ground up we built an international neurotechnology community whose mission is to facilitate the advancement of neurotechnology. Focusing mainly on three pillars:(1) Community,(2) Education,(3) Innovation. We launched 30+ chapters worldwide, hosted 350+ events of different sizes, organized hackathons and workshops, created 40 student clubs in different universities, published a book and so much more. NTX is working on great initiatives to make neurotechnology more accessible and help disseminate information. Still rockin\' 10 years later <3. I co-founded (with a stellar partner) NeuroTechX Services a one-stop-shop for everything NeuroTech, which we ended up selling (exit). During my PhD (at University of Montreal) I worked on Brain-Computer Interfaces to improve Cognitive Training. I taught C programming for engineering (undergrad class) for several years at ETS (Engineering University in Montreal). My most cited paper (1100+ citations): Deep Learning for EEG (DL-EEG) Review paper: https://iopscience.iop.org/article/10.1088/17••••52/ab260c/meta In 2022, I switched my focus from NeuroTech to taking a deep dive into the intriguing world of blockchain - from a design and engineering perspective trying to answer: is this the foundation layer of the future?
