Every year during their IP cycle of studies, I have the Master 2 students of the DJCE and/or DCI Masters of laws (up to ~50 students in total) prepare a team assignment based on real-life IP cases.They must address not only the legal issues at stake, but also propose meaningful business-oriented practical solutions to close the case.I then organise mock mediation hearings (1 or 2 days per year), where the teams go head-to-head.Finally, I provide them with feedback and we proceed with the session\'s debrief.The purpose of my involvement with the students is really to help them realise that in addition to providing accurate and relevant legal analysis, they must also as legal-counsels-to-be keep in mind the underlying business objectives of their client/employer.
