ABOUT YANNI ANGELAKOS
A seasoned leader spanning both active and ETF/index equity ecosystems, I have diverse experiences in research, investing, market/investment strategy, and business management capacities. Currently Head of Investment Insights at Nasdaq where I drive investment and market strategy across both retail and institutional investor client channels. Before Nasdaq, I was Head of Markets Insight for BlackRock iShares where I engaged with senior leadership on market/macro and product trends, and provided institutional clients with global market outlooks. Previously at BlackRock, I was the Global Head of Macro Research for Fundamental Equities where I oversaw a team conducting macro research and developing equity strategies. I began my time at BlackRock as a global macro strategist where I drove top-down equity investments and outlooks as well as FX hedging strategies for a global equities franchise, and sat on the PM team and Investment Committee. With strong collaborative, communication, and client skills; the ability and comfort to interact with senior business leaders and investors; experience as a trusted leader and mentor; and, expertise in global financial markets with a history of producing top-down equity strategies informed by bottoms-up insights, I’ve been fortunate to develop a unique skill set for the current and future global investment and capital markets environment.
