About Yann Kerblat
Yann Kerblat is Data Visualization Designer & GIS Specialist based in NYC and a graduate from the Data Visualization Master’s Program at the Parsons School of Design - The New School (22\' cohort) and brings 13 years of experience leveraging data-driven opportunities to support vulnerable communities, generate insights, and accelerate decision-making. Yann is also a former Disaster Risk Management (DRM) Analyst at the World Bank, where he provided analytical support to partners and governments, as well as policy advice and infrastructure investments across a wide range of regional contexts - focusing in particular on urban resilience, seismic/flood risk mitigation, weather forecasting, emergency preparedness, and developing risk information products. Prior to this role, Yann worked worked with several humanitarian agencies (UN, NGOs, Research Centers) in post-crisis and humanitarian contexts in Africa, Central Asia, and Southeast Asia and used rapid surveys and capacity building activities to improve accountability mechanisms, accelerate emergency relief activities, and optimize coordination measures between aid agencies (NGOs, UN) and donors. A French and Filipino national, Yann also holds Political Sciences degrees from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) and the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London (SOAS).
