Synthetic Chemist specializing in applying organic synthesis, polymer synthesis, surfactant design and synthesis in the development of-functional silicone materials and surface properties to improve the performance of medical devices (e.g microfluidic devices) and biocompatibility of silicone based biomaterials-new sol-gel derived silica materials for protein, aptamer and cell immobilization for biosensing and drug screening application.My current research focuses on recovering waste materials to create valuable reinforced fillers for silicone products, aiming to reduce both the carbon footprint and the cost of silicone.
