ABOUT YANA ROY

A visionary environmentalist who has a predilection for the fields of Psychology, Law and Political Science. I hope to transfigure this world by making meaningful contributions to these fields. Being a mental health advocate and an author who belongs to a minority herself, I strive to create pieces written in an accessible language on topics which have stigmatized by society in order to ensure that marginalized communities feel heard. As a social activist, I have learnt the importance of kindness and I endeavour to undertake multifarious ventures in order to make sure that the gap between two individuals, in terms of financial insecurities, opportunities and resources, is as low as possible. I firmly believe that people from disenfranchised communities should be given a platform which they can use in order to confabulate about their experiences instead of someone else speaking on their behalf. Alongside human welfare, it is imperative to look after the well-being of animals as well. Our environment has a humongous role to play in our development therefore, I do my utmost in order to combat growing environmental concerns. I aspire to get involved in such projects wherein I will be a beneficial member and help in catalysing the process of making this world a more inclusive place to live in.
