Increased standardization and the focus on product allow teams to draw more useful lessons from experience and apply them in future releases.RESPONSIBILITIES-Work with developers, product managers and operations engineers to define, manage and execute milestones for each release- Engage with development teams not currently under Release Management to establish release management processes-Build and align the organization’s release calendar, working closely with development managers and release managers from other platform areas-Create key metrics and identify opportunities to make tactical improvements to the release management process-Manage activities between Release Management, Product and Engineering teams.Daily activities include-Monitor check-ins to the release branch to make sure no untested change is deployed to production-Daily work with engineering teams to get the specifics of the deployments needed and coordinating its time and participants-Create documentation to confirm what is being deployed, when it will be deployed, and who will deploy it-Coordinate time, release versions and deployment to production-Create and maintain a standardized process of releasing change requests to production-Adhere to SOX compliance
