    Project 1Engine Misfire Detection * Misfire Detection algorithm development *Developed Matlab GUI tools for offline simulation and semi-auto calibration of Misfire Detection to make calibration engineers develop calibrations much faster and auto downloadable to INCA Achievement: the GUI tools helped calibrators to deliver misfire detection calibration in a very limited time, gained government certificate and saved company millions of dollars *Using global optimization algorithms including genetic algorithm for full automatic calibration in some section. Saved more than 90% calibration time.*Applied Machine Learning/ Artificial neural network (ANN) Classification techniques to develop misfire detection algorithm for current and future engine models. Result achieved regulation requirements. Project 2: OBD development in Vehicle Kinematics area *Vehicle Kinematics sensors On-board Diagnostics(OBD) algorithms development: including Steering Angle Sensor, Vehicle Accelerometer Sensor, Wheel Speed Sensor, by using Matlab, Simulink and Stateflow *Apply vehicle kinematics to model and calculate steering angle, vehicle acceleration and wheel speed and use model calculated values to compare with sensor values to get those sensors diagnosed *Validate above algorithms in HIL lab and on vehicle, by using INCA and CDA
