   As the Director of Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) for Tesla\'s Bay Area Manufacturing, I oversee EHS programs across key operations, including Stamping, Paint, Castings, Power Train, Seats, General Assembly, and Battery Cell Manufacturing. My primary focus is ensuring compliance, fostering a strong safety culture, and driving continuous improvement through the development of EHS strategies, standard work, and metrics in close collaboration with Operations Leadership.I serve as the Regulatory Compliance Liaison for Cal OSHA and the Bay Area Air Quality ManagementDistrict (BAAQMD), managing critical permit applications and revisions. A significant part of my roleinvolves leading cultural transformation through Human Organization Performance principles, improvingsafety practices and risk prevention.Key accomplishments include driving over $5 million in annual savings by insourcing medical servicesand integrating emergency medical and fire response. I also implemented zero waste to landfill initiatives, resulting in $4.5 million in savings. My leadership supported the launch of important BatteryManufacturing projects, including the Model SX Battery Pack Refresh and Cyber Truck Pilot.I led the overhaul of the Life Critical Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) program, enhancing machine safety andreducing risks. Additionally, I developed a hands-on training DOJO to improve the effectiveness of EHStraining programs, ensuring employees gain practical safety skills.
