ABOUT YAMILET NIEVES VEGA

I am a very curious, ambitious, goal-oriented, multilingual, first-generation Puerto Rican student and a rising senior at Providence College. My academic and professional journey bridges public health and neuroscience research, grounded in both qualitative and quantitative methods. I am deeply interested in sales because it allows me to bridge my scientific understanding of the brain with my passion for patient-centered communication and innovation. My background in neuroscience research and public health has strengthened my ability to translate complex data into meaningful solutions that improve patient outcomes. I’m looking for an opportunity to work at the intersection of science, entrepreneurship, and human connection. My next academic goal is to pursue a Master of Public Health (MPH) and Juris Doctor (JD) to build a multidisciplinary career at the intersection of health law, policy, and advocacy. I aspire to create and influence policies that protect patients, strengthen communities, and address structural disparities in healthcare.Through leadership roles in health advisory boards and various nonprofit organizations, I strive to blend academic research with direct advocacy and community service. I am eager to apply both my hard and soft skills in healthcare, law, and policy spaces, and to connect with professionals across academia, industry, and public service.
