Rev. Yamil Acevedo, PhD serves as Executive Vice President of Wesley Seminary at Indiana Wesleyan University, where he provides senior leadership at the intersection of theological education, institutional strategy, and global mission. With more than twenty years of experience spanning academia, pastoral ministry, and organizational leadership, he is known for guiding complex institutions with clarity, cultural intelligence, and relational wisdom.Dr. Acevedo holds a Ph.D. in Intercultural Studies from Trinity International University and brings a deeply integrative approach to leadership—one that connects the academy, the Church, and global communities in service of God’s mission. As a senior executive, he contributes to vision-setting, organizational development, cross-functional collaboration, and the formation of leaders equipped for ministry in diverse and rapidly changing contexts.Bilingual in English and Spanish, he has worked extensively across North America, the Caribbean, and Latin America. His leadership experience includes executive administration, teaching, mentoring, pastoral counseling, peacemaking, and cross-cultural engagement, with a consistent focus on building bridges across difference and fostering institutional and personal transformation.A seasoned communicator and educator, Dr. Acevedo is passionate about equipping leaders, cultivating intercultural competence, and advancing theological education that serves both the Church and the world.
