Coordinate and manage all dispatch activities, including scheduling, routing, and tracking of vehicles and drivers.Ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods to clients while maximizing vehicle utilization and minimizing costs.Monitor and maintain communication with drivers to provide necessary support and address any issues or delays promptly.Develop and implement efficient operational processes and procedures to streamline workflow and enhance productivity.Before dispatching, I need to post the lane on DAT to obtain rates and negotiate (if rates are high), set up with them by sending the carrier packet, and send the rate confirmation after verifying all documents received from the carrier.Collaborate with other departments, such as warehouse and customer service, to optimize overall logistics operations.Lead, motivate, and mentor a team of dispatchers and operations staff to ensure high performance and adherence to company policies and procedures.Provide ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance team skills and capabilities.Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their logistics needs and providing customized solutions to meet their requirements.Address client inquiries and concerns promptly, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.After successful delivery, when the carrier shares the invoice and POD for billing, we process the payment via ACH according to the payment terms.Implement and enforce safety protocols to minimize risks and ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
