Major Projects Procurement:• Act as client’s authorized representative for managing Procurement activities • Lead budgetary pricing requests/manage vendor proposals• Develop procurement strategies for equipment work packages • Participate with other members of the project team to prepare the tender documents and Scope of Work (SOW)• Establish Bidders list and manage complete RFQ process including clarifications• Organize and manage Bidders site visits• Prepare Commercial Bid Analysis (CBA) & make recommendations• Manage complete Purchase Order award activities• Organize and lead kick-off meetings and administrative meetings with vendors and multi-disciplined teams to review scope• Receive and manage all communications with suppliers, ensure traceability of documentation (technical & commercial) and record keeping • Coordinate weekly procurement meetings in coordination with the project planners• Manage all Change Orders or PO revisions accordingly• Manage all contract amendments• Establish and apply control methods to ensure deliverables (documents & supply) are carried out by the contractor for the payment of progressive accounts.• Negotiate and resolve the commercial claims and disputes, back charges or holdbacks• Establish the historical record of the contract and vendor performance of suppliers • Responsible for PO close-out process and archiving for all purchased packages• Invoice reconciliation and approval• Supplier evaluation after project close-out.Projects:Project: IPCC (In-Pit Crushing and Conveying System)Location: Mont-Wright, Fermont, Quebec, CanadaProject: Horne SmelterLocation: Rouyn-Noranda, Quebec, CanadaProject: Glencore RecyclingLocation: Rhode-Island, USA
