ABOUT YAHIR CORONADO-HERRERA

As a first-generation Mexican-American student in my final year at the University of Colorado Boulder, pursuing dual degrees in Psychology and Public Health. My academic focus is rooted in understanding how policy, systems, and social environments influence population health, safety, and community well-being.Throughout my undergraduate career, I have balanced full-time coursework with part-time employment both on and off campus, developing strong time-management skills, resilience, and a results-oriented work ethic. These experiences have reinforced my interest in public-facing roles that require accountability, leadership, and service.In addition to my academic training, I hold a Certificate of Creative Arts & Design in Barbering from Emily Griffith Technical College. This background has strengthened my interpersonal communication skills and community engagement, while reflecting my commitment to continuous learning across diverse fields. I aspire to pursue opportunities in public policy, administration, or public safety where I can contribute to equitable, people-centered solutions.
