About Yagyaseni B.
Yagyaseni is a post-graduate researcher, currently pursuing her second Master\'s in Applied Psychology at Amity University, Kolkata. Previously, she has specialized in Sociology, Social Anthropology, and Gender Studies from JNU (Master\'s), St. Xavier\'s College, Kolkata (Bachelor\'s), IGNOU and George Washington University, Washington DC, USA (GenderPro Capacity Development Program). She is driven by a deep fascination with understanding intersectionality and Interdisciplinarity of social sciences and humanities. Her research interests span gender, sexuality, media, religion, caste, middle class, artificial intelligence, linguistic hierarchies, ageism, postmodernism and urban life. She has presented her work at numerous national and international conferences and published her research in journals, newspapers and books.As one of the founders and Managing Director of The SocioScopia Foundation, a global non-profit organisation, she advocates for equitable access to academic opportunities. Additionally, she is the founder and host of Gendernaama, a podcast where she dives into gender issues, engaging listeners with thoughtful dialogue on topics often left unexplored.Beyond her academic pursuits, she is committed to applying her knowledge for social betterment as a social worker, blending theoretical understanding with practical impact. She has worked with some of the most prestigious NGOs in South Asia like Sanlaap, CRY, AICUF, NSS and so on.
