About Yael Oberndorf

I am currently a Senior Product Manager at Amazon Prime. Previously, at LinkedIn, I had Product Marketing and Product Management responsibilities for the assessment portfolio of products. Before that, I was a Management Consultant at Oliver Wyman, where I worked in strategy and operations in the US and Latin America. I also worked in investment research for Floodgate, a seed stage VC fund. While at Floodgate, I sourced an EdTech deal, and made my first seed investment. I have a B.A. and M.A. from Stanford University. While at Stanford- I was a Mayfield Fellow, a nine-month, highly-selective program on leadership in technology ventures- I was selected by George Shultz and Thomas Friedman as a Shultz Fellow to study Israeli policies that foster innovation- I was selected by the World Economic Forum as a Global Shaper, and I was the Editorial Director for the Palo Alto Hub- I was nominated by President Hennessy as the representative for Stanford for a 10-month fellowship with the Center for the Study of the President and Congress. I presented my research on US foreign policy to Iran at two conferences in DC, and was selected for publication. I immigrated to the USA from Mexico when I was 7 years old. In my free time, I’m an avid traveler, reader, swimmer, and biker. I seek to enjoy every phase of my life, to do meaningful work, and to invest deeply in the people I care about.
