Yael B. Ridberg became the rabbi of Congregation Dor Hadash in 2010. A 1997 graduate of the Reconstructionist Rabbinical College, Rabbi Ridberg served congregations in NYC from 19••••10 before moving to San Diego. An active lay leader in Jewish communal life, Rabbi Ridberg currently serves as the President of the San Diego Rabbinic Association and on the Board of the Lawrence Family Jewish Community Center in La Jolla. For 10 years she served on the Board of Trustees at the San Diego Jewish Academy, including two as President. She is also a Past President of the Reconstructionist Rabbinical Association and served on the Board of Jewish Family Service of San Diego. Rabbi Ridberg has been engaged in multi-faith justice work whenever possible. A passionate teacher and advocate for Jewish engagement and social justice, Rabbi Ridberg is a sought-after teacher and lecturer for many organizations and her writing has appeared in Times of Israel, Huffington Post, and Kveller and Rabbi Ridberg is a chapter author for the 2007 URJ publication, Life, Faith and Cancer. A transplanted New Yorker, Rabbi Ridberg lives in La Jolla with her husband and children.
