ABOUT YACHI LIN
Yachi Lin is the Director of System Planning for the New York Independent System Operator (NYISO), which operates New York’s high-voltage transmission system, manages the state’s wholesale electricity markets, and conducts comprehensive power system planning.Ms. Lin has 25 years of experience in the bulk power industry. She currently oversees the Comprehensive System Planning Process that encompasses reliability, economic, public policy, and interregional planning. By developing and executing the forward-looking system planning initiatives, she helps to ensure that NYISO has the people, processes, and technology to anticipate and respond to opportunities and challenges in system planning. Prior to joining the NYISO in 2011, she served as Business Development Manager and consultant for Siemens PTI.
