I’m a first-year student at the University of Washington planning to pursue Public Health–Global Health, with a strong interest in improving access to healthcare at the local and global level. As a first-generation Ethiopian-American, my background has shaped my commitment to working with underserved communities and advocating for more equitable health systems. I’ve gained experience through community-based work and roles where I developed strong communication skills and learned how to build meaningful, consistent relationships. I’m multilingual, with fluency in Amharic and a professional understanding of Spanish, and I enjoy connecting with people from diverse backgrounds and perspectives.
