As a Board Member of Slow Food East Bay I work with other Volunteer Leaders to execute a variety of events and projects focused on food systems and the people who feed us, from working with farmers and fisherman to chef\'s and service staff. We believe in Good, Clean and Fair food for all, and work to show the East Bay community how they can also live within these values. While this role is a volunteer role for a non-profit, we do tons of amazing and tangible work for the community. My focus is social media and communications, but I also help with organizing and executing events, writing our monthly newsletter and so much more. And while this isn\'t a cannabis-focused position, I believe the Slow Food values can (and should be) applied to the way we approach cannabis. Grateful to still be a part of the local food system in a way that allows me to keep certain professional skill sets sharp.
