Manage the renewal process for a real estate portfolio of over 2,500 quick service restaurants. Review, draft and negotiate complex transactions involving space leases, ground leases, and purchase and sale agreements, including ancillary agreements such as exclusive use waivers, signage agreements, SNDAs, estoppel certificates, general contractor agreements, right of entry agreements, and any related legal documents. Draft amendments and negotiate legal terms with landlords regarding lease renewals. Review and address any lease disputes and/or general real estate issues. Conduct due diligence in connection with purchase and sale agreements, including reviewing title commitments, ALTA surveys and supervising the work required to obtain title policies and applicable endorsements. Manage outside counsel in connection with condemnation actions. Manage legal professionals responsible for drafting and negotiating commercial lease renewals, and other ancillary agreements.
