About Michelle Brown

Since 2018, my professional focus has been on the autonomous vehicle and trucking industry. Throughout this period, I have held various positions that have provided me with comprehensive knowledge of the industry\'s inner workings. Most recently, I served as an operations supervisor, leading a diverse team of over 150 CDL specialists, engineering technicians, training instructors, and site coordinators. This role significantly enhanced my project management skills as it required handling various projects and a high volume of work in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment. It has been the most fulfilling position in my career so far because I have a genuine passion for project management. I derive great satisfaction from strategizing, building, and fostering effective collaboration within teams to achieve shared objectives. I take pride in efficiently directing people, attaining goals, meeting deadlines, and successfully completing projects. Above all, I am deeply committed to nurturing the growth and potential of my team and contributing to the success of my company. During my leisure time, I decompress in the company of my husband, our Australian Shepherds, and our three mutt rescues. On the weekends, we love having game night, riding our motorcycles, camping, fishing, or floating the river. My favorite hobbies are photography and contemplating new DIY projects at The Home Depot. Currently, I am working on my passion project of building and outfitting my Toyota Tacoma for off-roading and overlanding.

As a Command Center Associate Manager, I support our the remote operations side of operations. I manage Remote Assist Specialists (RAs) and Dispatchers, making sure our trucks have the human support they need to run safely and reliably out on the road.Day to day, I oversee live operations, guide the team through escalations, and make sure we’re staying sharp, consistent, and safety-focused. I also handle the people side—hiring, interviewing, onboarding, and coaching—to build a strong, capable team.Beyond operations, a big part of my role is driving projects and cross-team initiatives. I partner with Testing, Terminals, Training, Recruiting, Product Operations, Safety, and IT to improve tools, workflows, and training programs, making sure we’re aligned and set up to scale. I also serve as the primary liaison between the ground team and our product, engineering, and safety teams so we can keep improving the Aurora Driver. In short, I bridge the gap between human expertise, remote operations, and autonomous technology, helping our trucks operate safely today while building the systems and teams that will support the future of autonomy.
