Lead development of a Java-based mixed-integer optimization system for real-time labor planning in Amazon fulfillment centers, using a custom enumeration + optimization heuristic to handle large-scale, high-velocity inputs. The system improves staffing-plan acceptance and drives significant measurable business impact, including major cost savings across operations- Enhanced the optimization engine with an ML-based classification component, improving simulated planning performance while maintaining strict runtime requirements; prototype is currently under evaluation for production integration- Designing a general-purpose LLM agent that interprets and explains solutions produced by optimization models, using structured parsing of model files such as MIP and LP formulations- Building a prototype architecture that integrates GenAI reasoning with traditional optimization workflows, enabling clearer understanding of model decisions for scientists, engineers, and business users.
