ABOUT XINYI

Currently, I work as a data scientist in Asset Management Data Science team under JP Morgan Asset Management. Our team focuses on NLP capabilities for various business use cases within asset management. My research interests lie in Generative AI explainability, Agent, LLM hallucination mitigations. Previously, I worked for American Express as a data scientist. Our team works on Ask Amex Chatbot modeling and other LLM-based servicing modeling including data labeling, exploratory data analysis, hyper-parameter tuning optimizations, model training, model deployment, model performance monitoring, model development and codebase refactoring. I was also working closely with the product team on chat reviews to improve some key business metrics such as automation rate and card member satisfaction rate.Prior to American Express, I worked for Hunova as a machine learning engineer. Our company uses NLP techniques to facilitate and automate talent acquisition process and provide insights to human resource management. My previous work involved preprocessing textual data, performing feature extraction using NLP models, training and fine-tuning the neural network models, deploying models through CI/CD pipelines and delivering data-driven analysis. I’m proficient in Prompt Engineering, Fine-tuning LLMs, Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG), Agent-based LLM Framework, API Integration, Python, Git, R, Julia, SQL, Jira, AWS and Azure.I graduated from Cornell in 2020 with a Master\'s degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering and in 2019 with a Bachelor\'s degree in Material Science and Engineering.
