About Xinru Wen
I am a user experience designer at the Center for Digital Experiences at Pratt Institute, where I collaborate with other UX designers and researchers to evaluate and improve the usability and accessibility of various websites and apps for clients. I am also pursuing a master of science in information experience design at Pratt Institute, expected to graduate in June 2024. I have a master of interaction design and electronic arts from the University of Sydney, and a bachelor of arts from the University of Toronto. My core competencies include design, user experience, user research, prototyping, and SketchUp. In my current role, I have worked on projects such as designing an app prototype for the NYC Department of Design and Construction, using the insights generated from the previous project, and developing user-centered solutions for the Brooklyn Museum, crafting and delivering a professional-level content strategy presentation to the client. I have also contributed to the evaluation and recommendation of the clients\' websites, using various UX methods and tools, such as user testing, surveys, interviews, wireframes, and low-fidelity prototypes. In my previous roles, I have gained valuable experience in game design, architectural design, and landscape design, working with different teams and stakeholders, and applying quantitative and qualitative analysis to solve problems and iterate solutions. I am passionate about creating engaging and meaningful digital experiences that enhance the lives of users and communities. I value collaboration, innovation, and diversity, and I am eager to learn from and share my perspectives and experiences with others.
