About Xin Guo
Xin Guo is a policy officer with over a decade of experience in human mobility, multilateral diplomacy, and private sector engagement. She has contributed to nine UN General Assembly cycles, advocating for migration’s integration into global agendas and enhancing Member States\' understanding. A key member of the working groups behind IOM strategies on legal identity and private sector partnerships, she was also the institutional coordinator for IOM’s engagement with ECOSOC Commissions (CSW, CPD, CSocD among others) and related global review processes, advising senior leadership and developing organizational wide guidance. As the New York focal point on Mobility Pathways & Inclusion, she supported crafting IOM policy positions on financing, economic development, health, border, protection, data governance, and mobilized advocacy efforts at the UN. She deepened technical expertise through field assignments to support governmental dialogues in Lima, Rabat and Beijing. On resource mobilization, she has coordinated IOM’s engagement, submissions, and reporting for several UN Multi-Partner Trust Funds, supported facilitation of 17 IOM projects under the COVID-19 MPTF. She has advised on funding priorities, lessons learned and on enhancing project alignment with UN programming to country missions. She also served as the donor liaison for the \"Mainstreaming Migration into National Development Plans\" project in Ghana and Ethiopia, through the UN fund to which People’s Republic of China is a major contributor.
