Review the operating statements for designated division and/or departments and prepare journal entries to facilitate timely and accurate financial statements.• Prepare and present monthly quantitative and qualitative analyses of assigned divisions and/or departments by the deadlines with particular emphasis on explanation of variances from budget and recent prior months.• Review new agreements for assigned entities for accounting related items and recommend changes to current accounting processes.• Assist entity management with questions relating to their monthly financial management reports and other questions.• Maintain accounting records in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and Providence Health & Services Technical Accounting Bulletins, system and regional financial policies and procedures and ensure compliance with federal, state and other regulatory agencies.• Be responsible to understand and make sure all account reconciliations are prepared and approved on the appropriate basis and understand the systems and sub ledgers that send data to the accounts.• Maintain professional growth and development through continuing education, participation in professional associations and other activities to keep abreast of current technology and organizational practices.• Maintain confidentiality of records, including patient and employee or medical center information at all times. Ensure all information and conversations regarding patients are secured from general public access.• Participate in unit/department performance improvement activities to ensure the development and implementation of processes that support quality patient care and effective work performance.• Participate in all staff meetings and mandatory in services and training programs to ensure continued understanding of all departmental policies, procedures and performance improvement process.• Perform related duties as assigned
