I am a data scientist with a PhD in chemistry from Yale University, where I conducted cutting-edge research on molecular dynamics and simulations. I have over a year of experience as a data scientist at Nautilus Labs, a leading maritime analytics company that leverages AI to optimize fuel efficiency and reduce emissions for the shipping industry.At Nautilus Labs, I developed and deployed end-to-end machine learning pipelines for time series forecasting, Bayesian statistical modeling, and live voyage optimization support. I used various tools and frameworks, such as PyMC, Scikit-learn, AWS SageMaker, and Dagster, to implement, test, and scale ML models for different types of vessels and clients. I also led a team of three data scientists and engineers to automate feature transformation and simplify configuration for a specialized model subset, resulting in a significant improvement in delivery time, client satisfaction, and system capacity.
