About Xi Xiong
I am a Data Scientist - Economist at LinkedIn. I received my Ph.D. in Economics from New York University (NYU). My research interests are applied microeconomics, industrial organization, and innovation. I study how online environment, such as platform ordering and privacy regulation, changes price dispersions, consumer welfare and seller’s profit. I also study how patent law protection affects patent value, company’s patenting strategy and R&D decision. I address these questions using statistical analysis and equilibrium models.
