ABOUT XHENI ALIBASHI
I am currently a fourth-year student at Michigan State University, studying Biomedical Science with a concentration in Medical Microbiology, and an interest in the field of biomedical research. In conjunction to that, working as a Research Assistant in the Bergholz lab. In tandem with my academic and research pursuits, I\'ve been an active member of the Albanian American Student Organization for four years, serving as the President, and MSU Women In STEM as the Secretary. Leadership and community engagement, both on and off campus, are core to my professional journey. To that end, as a Marketing director at Based In Science, I lead efforts to extend STEM education and career outreach in the Balkans and work closely with global leaders to do so. I also serve at the Executive Board of SAPS, an organization that aims to provide tailored mentorship and workshops to young Albanians across the US. There, I focus on spreading our mission and promoting workshops and events around career development and networking.
