About Xavier Gibert

As a Senior Software engineer at Aurora, I leverage my experience in Machine Learning and Computer Vision to expand the perception capabilities of the Aurora Driver, the most advanced AD solution in the market. Prior to joining Aurora, I worked at Momenta Europe, developing advanced ADAS functions used by several OEMs in Europe and China. Prior to joining Momenta, I worked as a Computer Vision Software Engineer at Google Maps, developing algorithmic ML pipelines for automated map refreshes, and Google Robotics (later rebranded as X: The Moonshot Factory). I hold a Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Maryland College Park, with a focus on Computer Vision and Machine Learning. My skills include Digital Signal Processing, Mathematical Statistics, and Optimization. I am passionate about advancing the field of Autonomous Driving and exploring new applications of Machine Learning and Computer Vision.
