About Xavier Mason

In 2015, I graduated with a double major in Management and Marketing from the University of Alaska Anchorage (UAA). During my time at UAA, I was selected as a Truman Finalist and UAA’s spring 2015 commencement speaker. Outside of college life, I have started several companies. My favorite, VisualAid, is a multi-faceted nonprofit magazine that inspires, motivates, educates, and more importantly diminishes the psychological barriers of what people, particularly little children, believe they are capable of achieving with their lives through the transformative power of education. I have always been passionate about my community. For that reason, I have served as a past president of the Anchorage NAACP Youth Council, a former protégé in the University of Alaska Anchorage’s Leadership Fellows Program, past Board Member of Chessed Alaska, Founding Father & Board Member of Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity Phi-Alpha Chapter, graduate of the Alaska FBI Citizen’s Academy, Founding Member of Creative Entrepreneurs Reaching Innovative Action Through Leading Solutions (CERIALS), and a former intern at the Anchorage Economic Development Corporation. ​My commimtent to Anchorage has led Mayor Ethan Berkowitz to appoint me as a Commissioner within the the Anchorage Sister Cities Commission, and as a panelist for the John Parks Naming Panel. I currently serve in the capacities of Honorary Commander of the 3rd Air Support Operations Squadron, Secretary for Diplomacy and International Relations for the World Youth Government, and has been designated as a Global Shaper by the World Economic Forum. While working with Senator Dan Sullivan in the United States Senate. I am currently studying at the University of Oxford for an MSc in Education concentrated in Child Development in Education and then I will be studying for an MBA, as part of the Saiid Business School\'s prestigious 1+1 MBA Program.
