Development and implementation of an innovative security solution to support security analysts. Tasks involved- Data extraction from SIEM platforms using APIs. Statistical analysis of security incidents and log data, improvement of data quality by applying feature engineering- Development of a python application to pre-process security incidents, perform statistical calculations, contextualisation, and output a prediction. Utilisation of git as version control system- Data modelling on a MongoDB database, indexing, querying- Development of a Power BI report, utilisation of Power Query and Power Automate- Integration of data feeds from a Threat Intelligence provider- Development of an integration with a CRM software- Implementation of security features to protect the solution from attacks with the support of colleagues- Working alongside security analysts to configure security systems, fine-tune alert rules, set up alert notifications and investigate security incidents- Managing day-to-day operations of the solution, engaging with users and gathering feedback- Documentation of the technical aspects of the solution- Agreeing priorities and deadlines with stakeholders, managing risks- Reporting progress on developments and performance of the solution to the METCLOUD team. Presentation of the solution to external stakeholders.Another responsibility involved managing a Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) alongside Birmingham City University on the topic of Large-Language Models (LLM) and Service Desk support, occupying the role of company supervisor.
