ABOUT WYNAND RABE

I am a Leader, Business Partner and Technologist. I am drawn to reform, optimization and delivery of technological and human work systems. My strength is my ability to “fix what’s broken” while positively engaging stakeholders and leading teams through change. I am a strategic thinker able to see the big picture and have the technical experience that allows me to delve into detail to ensure implementation and delivery.As a Leader, I have experience in leading large development and implementation programs with a hands-on approach, preference for Agile Methodologies, and a strong focus on capacity building and empowerment of teams. As a Business Partner, I have engaged senior stakeholders in businesses across asset classes (FX, Equities, Fixed Income, Money Markets) and technology layers and geographies (South Africa, London). I have a track record of relationship building, collaboration and delivery across business and IT structures.As a Technologist, I have a track record of successful build, roll-out and operational management and governance of complex real-time, online systems. I have domain expertise in Equities, FX and Fixed Income Trading environments. My understanding of technology is broad, across multiple programming languages, Microsoft and Linux platforms, several databases and integration technologies. I have architected solutions through a combination of built and bought components and have experience in commercial relationships with traditional vendors as well as Fintechs. Educated with B Sc (Hons) focused in Computer Science / Informatics from University of Johannesburg.
