About Wyatt Mundelius

I am Wyatt Mundelius, and I am a student-athlete on the Men’s Water Polo team at UC Berkeley studying Political Economy with a concentration in technology. I am interested in working in the financial sector because I was introduced to it by my friend who started to work as a financial analyst for an investment bank. He began to tell me about some of the inner workings of the industry which began to peak my interest. As I researched about the financial sector, and began to take classes at Cal about the topic, I began to fall in love with the idea of having extensive knowledge about the market. Specifically, I am fascinated with the analytics aspect of finance due to the immense amount of data gathered to give a more specific variable cost. Additionally, with my background in economics, I have a central idea about how government policy interacts with the market and I want to use that knowledge to better understand the financial sector. I enjoy being a part of a team working with one another to accomplish tasks. I am successful in learning from others which allows me to continue to broaden my skills to become efficient in my tasks. I also have extensive experience as a leader as captain of the bronze medal junior national team as well as captain of the cal men\'s water polo team. I am currently exploring career paths in the financial sector primarily as an analyst and am looking forward to the next steps of my employment journey.
