About Wesley Thompson
Every person has their own unique story and path in life. For me it was being lucky enough to grow up surrounded by people who embodied the \"Lunch Pail and Hard Hat\" mentality which was instilled onto myself. This is what has presented me with the opportunities to find what I am truly passionate about. As I\'ve progressed through my life I have encountered many scenarios that required me to work through difficult times in order to accomplish the goal, whether that be my time as part of a Division I Football program while obtaining my degree in Electrical Engineering or starting my first \"real\" job as a Nuclear Controls Engineer in an area that I\'ve never been. If It weren\'t for those people around me growing up, I might never have gotten the opportunity to meet the unique people from all different walks of life and never realize that my passion is interacting and connecting with new people.I\'m currently a Project Engineer at GE Vernova Hitachi which has allowed me to leverage the technical knowledge I have gained and provide stakeholders with the most efficient technical solutions. While I am working full time, I am also actively working towards obtaining my PMP Certification.
