About Bill Siebold

Hello. As an educator committed to academic excellence and innovation, I recognize generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) as a transformative catalyst for engineering the future of higher education. I support a dynamic classroom environment where students are empowered to take ownership of their learning and develop the critical thinking skills necessary for a rapidly evolving world.~ William SieboldBorn in the northeast, I lived my teen and young adult years in the Finger Lakes region of western New York state. In the mid-1970s I picked up my backpack and moved to western Oregon.Over the ensuing years I lived in Oregon, Nevada, Colorado and Idaho. I worked in various sectors, ranging from science, technology, education, design and the arts. Eventually I found my way back to Oregon. When I was young I wanted to do two things: teach and write. But I knew that becoming a teacher, or a writer, had to be earned through experience.Teaching has never been my career. Teaching has always been my life\'s work.Writing is my palette for understanding the world and who I am as a person.Together, this is where my deep gladness meets the world\'s deep need.

Experience

  1. Board of Directors Director of Technology

    Tualatin Valley Artists

Jul 2010 — Present · Hillsboro, OR, US

Within this leadership role, I provide technology, media and human solutions in support of creative people dedicated to improving our community’s quality of life by enhancing it’s art and culture. Many members of our community are at-risk youth or adults living on the margins of mainstream commerce. Our efforts help individuals express their authentic selves. Our purpose is to be the change they need on their personal quest for secure and productive lives. “Tualatin Valley Artists is an organization of creative people dedicated to improving our community’s quality of life by enhancing it’s art and culture. With our strong focus on building and presenting a regional sense of art & culture, we provide education, quality gallery display, poetry and musical performance – all in an atmosphere of encouragement and opportunity.” I count myself truly blessed to have the opportunity to serve on the Board of Directors of Tualatin Valley Artists dba Influence Music Hall, a 501(c)(3) non-profit. Music has been a major formative element in my life. I love to perform music and to watch the outstanding performances of others. Influence Music Hall is committed to helping the greater regional community. I support programs that provide opportunities for members of our community to perform without inhibition or fear of failure, with productive critique, on their own unique path to creative fulfillment. I collaborate with team members to raise awareness of the value of creative endeavor in the lives of people, especially for young people who are just finding their authentic voice in the world. “Tualatin Valley Artists is an organization of creative people dedicated to improving our community’s quality of life by enhancing it’s art and culture. With our strong focus on building and presenting a regional sense of art & culture, we provide education, quality gallery display, poetry and musical performance – all in an atmosphere of encouragement and opportunity.”
