ABOUT BILL WIGGINS

I am a USCG-licensed Master Captain currently serving on the Quality Assurance team for a major vessel refit program supporting the U.S. Coast Guard’s 47’ Motor Lifeboat Service Life Extension Project (MLB SLEP). In this role, I conduct operational testing and sea trials following refit work, helping verify performance, safety, and readiness before vessels are returned to service. My background spans marine operations, shipyards, fleet support, and founder-operated businesses. I’ve worked alongside engineers, technicians, and program teams in regulated, safety-critical environments where attention to detail, documentation, and sound judgment matter. In parallel with my professional role, I remain active as a founder and operator of small businesses, with experience building and managing multi-channel, customer-facing operations. This work has given me practical exposure to capital decisions, vendor partnerships, logistics, and customer experience, along with the trade-offs involved in sustainable growth.I’m most effective in environments where reliability and execution are essential — whether that’s preparing vessels for operational duty or building businesses that depend on consistency, trust, and follow-through.
