Analyzes various samples in a timely and cost-effective manner- Participates in relevant proficiency test:+ Sample Preparation (Homogenizing samples, Screening, Crushing)+ Material Characterization (PSD - Laser particle analyzer, pH determination, Specific Gravity)+ Rheology testing (Slump test, Water bleed testing, Viscosity testing)+ Dewatering/Settling testing ( Flocculant determination, Dosage and feed screening, Total Suspended Solids - TSS, Yield Stress, water bleed)+ Filtration Testing (Vaccum filtration, Belt filtration, Pressure filtration)+ Unconfined Compressive Stress (UCS) testing (Casting mix designs, breaking cylinders)- Ensures prompt and accurate testing and report of results- Maintains equipment calibration, participates in quality audits, identifies, investigates and reports non- conformances to the lab supervisor- Document all test results electronically and by paper filling using prescribed forms and spreadsheets- Works on a wide variety of assignments of moderate to large scope and complexity, performing a variety of complex duties.
