About Steve Homan

I taught Business Communication, Public Speaking, and English-American Literature/Writing classes, and remedial writing at Yeshiva University Sy Syms School of Businesd and BramsonORT College. I teach those courses now at Vaughn College in Queens, N.Y. I also tutor students there in ESL and paralegal classes. I am an experienced online journalist at legal and financial dailies. My most enjoyable job was as Legal Editor (editor in charge of content, editing, trafficking, and signing off on pages 2, 3, and 4) of the New York Law Journal, the No. 1 daily trade newspaper for New York’s attorneys. It also has a national following. Prior to the Law Journal, I worked in a hard-news and analysis environment at Standard & Poor’s ratings service. Other highlights of my career include managing coverage of a recent hurricane with the Bridgeport Post (Conn) and covering a Minneapolis Police Department “decoy squad” sent out to arrest drug dealers with the Minnesota Daily (U of Minn college newspaper).
