ABOUT WREET GUPTA
Aspiring Manga studies scholar. Greetings! In the not so distant past, I have been involved in a plethora of activities and experiences, ranging from debates to theatre to writing my first research paper. I have just started my Master\'s journey in English Literature at St. Xavier\'s College, Kolkata! I want to move into academia in the future (both as a professor as well as someone involved with research). My research Interests are: Manga and Comics studies, graphic narratives, eroticism and sexuality studies, to name a few. While I am not a PhD scholar yet, I am enthusiastic about reading up on these areas and building my knowledge. I also look forward to contributing to the anime and manga industry in India. Any leads for the same would be great! Book recommendation, reading lists and material for the above mentioned especially manga studies is always highly appreciated! I am looking for research opportunities to develop my skills and strengthen my academic hand (so to speak). I have also completed a Diploma on Media Literacy implemented by IREX with US Embassy, New Delhi. I Feel free to get in touch with me!
