I have over 12 years of experience in thermo-electrochemical testing and analysis of lithium-ion (Li-ion) batteries and related thermal management products, especially for space exploration.My professional and research activities are focused on designing battery assemblies that can safely mitigate the effects of thermal runaway and prevent cell-to-cell propagation, as well as addressing complex #metaverse and related engineering challenges. I have received multiple awards and recognition for my contributions to Li-ion battery thermal analysis and calorimetry methods, and I continue to be engaged in the academic and professional communities focused on battery safety.    Technical responsibilities and accomplishments:• Vision and strategy development for commercialization of safe lithium-ion batteries for space flight applications designed to satisfy NASA JSC 20793 (crewed vehicle battery safety requirements). • Expansion of Company portfolio to include extensive lithium-ion cell abuse testing techniques including, but not limited to, small and large format fractional thermal runaway calorimetry and impingement zone mapping. • Design of passively propagation resistant lithium-ion battery systems that also incorporate flame arresting devices.• Proposal development for customized energy storage solutions ranging from human space flight and/or Department of Defense applications to grid battery energy storage systems (BESS). • Tracking of next generation cell chemistries and implementation into Company battery architectures and IP.
