We collaborate with industry leaders, educational institutions, and community partners to promote excellence and workforce development in manufacturing.Key Responsibilities:Strategic Leadership:Collaborate with the chapter president and board members to set and execute strategic goals aligned with SMTA Gulf Coast’s mission.Represent the organization at regional and national events to advocate for local manufacturing.Design, implement, and oversee apprenticeship programs tailored to the needs of local electrical manufacturing companies.Partner with educational institutions, workforce organizations, and industry leaders to create pipelines for talent development.Monitor program outcomes and refine strategies to ensure apprentices gain valuable skills that meet industry standards.Build and maintain relationships with regional manufacturers, suppliers, and trade organizations.Advocate for initiatives that elevate local manufacturing, such as advanced technology adoption and workforce upskilling.Identify and promote emerging technologies and practices that benefit the local manufacturing ecosystem.Facilitate knowledge sharing and networking among members to foster innovation and collaboration.
