I’ve spent the last 7 years at Smartsheet evolving alongside the platform—starting as an intern and growing into a Senior Software Engineer leading critical backend orchestration. I specialize in distributed systems, reliability engineering, and helping teams move faster through better tooling and mentorship. I\'ve been on all sides of the stack - from pure frontend to pure backend.What I’m currently focused on:As a technical lead on our Solution Orchestration team, I own the Go-based services (leveraging Temporal) that power global asset operations. I’m a big believer in operational excellence—whether that’s leading zero-downtime upgrades, reducing alert fatigue, or championing Pact for contract testing to ensure we deploy with total confidence. I also love learning more about Agile methodologies, and the path to building AWESOME teams which can handle anything that comes their way.On previous teams, I\'ve- Led massive efforts to decouple frontend (React, Redux, Typescript) components from our monolith into independent, CI/CD-ready repositories- Scaled legacy services into AWS (EC2, SQS/SNS, EKS, ECS, S3), managed complex migrations, and served as the SME for essential collaboration features- Facilitated pair and mob programming to unblock engineers and keep the gears turning.

   Senior Engineer on the Solution Orchestration Team, owning a critical backend service (Written in Go, heavy use of Temporal) responsible for global asset creation, copy and update operations across the Smartsheet platform- Technical lead & SME for Temporal, including leading ZDT Upgrades, ongoing performance tuning, and reliability improvements- Operational leader for production incidents and gamedays—led incident calls, authored same-day PIRs, and drove follow-up actions to improve platform resilience- Drove alert fatigue reduction by investigating noisy alerts, tuning SLOs, and improving observability to improve on-call quality- Championed Pact (pact.io) adoption across teams by leading POCs, creating examples, and delivering demos that increased confidence in provider APIs and deployments- Led cross-team integrations for new Providers for our service — coordinating across orgs, fixing bugs in external codebases, and unblocking delivery- Mentor and collaborator, facilitating mob programming, unblocking engineers pair-programming/code reviews, and fostering a transparent, team-first culture.Tech: Go, Temporal, Pact, NATS, Datadog, Distributed Systems
